Crotalus simus tzabcan (Yucatan Neotropical Rattlesnake)
C. s tzabcan are found in Mexico and Central America, specifically in the Yucatan Peninsula. They live in tropical forests and rain forests at elevations of up 700 meters. On average they are about 1 meter in length, but can grow to be up to 1.8 meters. C. s. tzabcan eat lizards, rodents, small mammals and birds. Their venom is not well classified, but it is known to have some neurotoxic effects.
